2. The YouTube filmmaker then visits your business to shoot the video on-site.

3. Within a week, you get the edits ready to go.

4. The video is uploaded to YouTube so you can start using it in advertising materials.

    You point out a simple solution for attorneys who have no knowledge of using video or even creating one from their phone. The concept is good, but here’s where I see a big problem with only creating a 30 second ‘commercial’ video…
    An attorney CANNOT generate trust with his ideal client in just 30 seconds. You can’t. That’s why creating more informative and more educational videos will set you and your firm apart from those lawyers who try to create a commercial on video.
    Think about this…
    You don’t go online to watch attorney commercials. Nobody does. Why not? Because they all say pretty much the same thing. For P.I. attorneys: “IF YOU’VE BEEN INJURED, COME TO ME BECAUSE WE HANDLE THESE TYPES OF CASES.”
    The goal when creating video is to stand out. How do you do that? By teaching and educating your consumer. You just can’t do that in 30 seconds.
    Having said that, some attorneys may believe that having something is better than nothing. I don’t agree with that and anyway, if you’re advertising your 30 second video, you still have to optimize your title, your description, create a transcript, add keywords, create an enticing thumbnail image and then you still must promote your video, not just using YouTube ads.
    If you think you’ll get value, then try it. As for me? I’ll pass, thank you.
