YouTube Director for Lawyers – Get an Amazing Video for Your Firm

Many law firms want to add videos to their website, but have challenges.

“It costs too much to get a professional team into the office to shoot video.”

“If I shoot the video myself, the quality is not great.”

“If I make my own video, it takes too much time to edit, and I’m a busy lawyer”

Now, YouTube wants to help eliminate these problems.

YouTube recently announced an expansion of its pilot YouTube Director program.

YouTube Director is an easy way to get a promo video built for your law firm at an incredibly affordable cost.

Here’s how it works:

1. YouTube has a YouTube-approved filmmaker reach out to you to interview you to learn more about your firm. They then help you write a script for your video to appeal to your potential clients.

2. The YouTube filmmaker then visits your business to shoot the video on-site.

3. Within a week, you get the edits ready to go.

4. The video is uploaded to YouTube so you can start using it in advertising materials.

  • Andrew,
You point out a simple solution for attorneys who have no knowledge of using video or even creating one from their phone. The concept is good, but here’s where I see a big problem with only creating a 30 second ‘commercial’ video…
An attorney CANNOT generate trust with his ideal client in just 30 seconds. You can’t. That’s why creating more informative and more educational videos will set you and your firm apart from those lawyers who try to create a commercial on video.
    Think about this…
You don’t go online to watch attorney commercials. Nobody does. Why not? Because they all say pretty much the same thing. For P.I. attorneys: “IF YOU’VE BEEN INJURED, COME TO ME BECAUSE WE HANDLE THESE TYPES OF CASES.”
The goal when creating video is to stand out. How do you do that? By teaching and educating your consumer. You just can’t do that in 30 seconds.
Having said that, some attorneys may believe that having something is better than nothing. I don’t agree with that and anyway, if you’re advertising your 30 second video, you still have to optimize your title, your description, create a transcript, add keywords, create an enticing thumbnail image and then you still must promote your video, not just using YouTube ads.
If you think you’ll get value, then try it. As for me? I’ll pass, thank you.
